One table, every screen

The same café on each device. The table finds its own best shape.

iPhone

Two at the table

Lay the phone flat between you. One of you at each end, a mallet under each finger. First to five.

  • The center line sits on the phone's middle, so you both reach as far
  • Each end keeps its own score, turned to face you
  • No swiping home by accident mid-match

iPhone Duo

Open it up

Closed, iPhone Duo is a table for one. Open it on its side and it's a table for two, with the center line right on the fold.

  • The fold is the center line
  • Half-folded, nothing you tap sits in the curve
  • Made for iPhone Duo from the first day

iPad

The big table

On its side, iPad is the whole table, with room for two to sit across from each other. Upright, you play the house.

  • Smooth at 120 frames a second on ProMotion displays
  • The screen holds still mid-match, so a bump won't flip the table
  • The menus turn with you

Table for one

Or play the house

Easy, Normal or Hard. Some nights the house is half asleep. Some nights it's had its coffee.

  • Pick a level with a glass puck on the chalkboard
  • A chalk hint on your first game
  • The music and the table's sounds, each with its own switch

How it began

The first time you open it, a short painted film takes you down the stairs, past the last song of the night, to a table in the back.

  1. A rainy MacDougal Street at night, the café's windows lit.Greenwich Village, 1971.
  2. Wet stone steps down to a basement door with a lamp above it.The Gaslight's last season.
  3. A crowd at small tables watching a singer with a guitar on a little stage. The song ends. Nobody leaves.
  4. An air hockey table under two wall lamps, a hand reaching for the switch. There's a table in the back.

Nothing leaves the room.
